Where to buy (and sell) gear? So far I have:

New

• Foto Konijnenberg – A lot of choice and often one of the cheapest
• Digicamshop – Extremely fast delivery, good website and payment experience.
• Grobet – More expensive but you get advice and can check out the product before buying.

Second hand

• BelgiumDigital forum – Koop en verkoop – No experiences here but the only Belgian forum I know of with a dedicated sales forum
• eBay/Kapaza/2dehands.be – Mostly good for older cameras and lenses & specialty stuff, but rather risky

Not a lot of time to go out to take pictures so I’ve been trying some product photography. I chose to photograph a Wacom on a glass table. This wasn’t easy: (1) The table was kind of dirty (2) The Wacom is mostly a black object.

Also, I had a lot of problems with my flash not firing. I am using Cactus triggers v4.

First I was taking shots with just the wacom tablet. To add some dynamism to the picture I added the pen and pen holder. Still, not very satisfied with the result.

It’s apparent that the product has been used (I had to remove a lot of scratches and you still see smears on the side). Maybe tomorrow I will attempt to replicate a “true” product shot (white background) (example: http://www.photofacts.nl/fotografie/foto/et/wacom_intuos5_touch_m.jpg )

This tumblr was started to kick off my 365 project. A 365 project is something that you will do every day for the next year. About a month ago I decided to take a picture every day to improve my photography skills. I’m learning new stuff every day and it’s pretty exciting.

For the next month I will be focussing on improving my off-camera flash photography and maybe shooting more portraits. I’m also working on a way to display the pictures in a better way than on this Tumblr.
